- The e-ink display. I read a LOT, and I don't want to be reading a backlit screen (a backlit screen is what your computer monitor has). The e-ink looks like the page of a book. It's great for reading outdoors and really gives the look of actual paper book pages. For me, this was a requirement.
- ePub Format. This feature allows you to checkout books from the library on your Nook! This was a huge selling point for me. I checkout a TON of books from the library and have gotten to read so many books free of charge. The ePub format also means you are not tied to Barnes and Noble for your book purchases. Options, baby!
I will tell you why - because it's awesome! I definitely love my Nook. There are a couple things that make it stand above other e-readers for me...
